Associate Professor Tilman Ruff AO
MB BS, FRACP
Tilman is founding chair of the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons, awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2017, Co-President of International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War (Nobel Peace Prize 1985), and Honorary Principal Fellow, School of Population and Global Health, University of Melbourne. He was international medical advisor for Australian Red Cross 1996-2019, and worked on immunisation and maternal and child health in Indonesia and Pacific island countries with the Australian and NZ government aid programs, Burnet Institute, UNICEF and WHO. He will present the lecture “Leaders of the World – How Can We Eliminate Nuclear Weapons Before They Are Used Again?”
